Fun weekend...

Doug, Jed and I went to the Sand Dunes in St Anthony this past weekend. We had a blast, this picture is of Jed and me at Elgin lake which is in the middle of the sand dunes. You can kinda see the sand dunes in the back ground, this is where they start to get huge.
This is a picture of Doug riding up Choke Cherry, it is a super steep hill which I do not go down or up.
This picture is from the top of Choke Cherry just to get a little idea of how high up we are. Sharon, I should of called you and Kent to come and join us and get the dust off of your toys!
While we were there we went to the Civil Defense Cave which is a lava tube, it is pitch black and freezing inside.
This is Jed and Preston in the cave, it is so dark that you can't see your hand in front of your face. We had fun exploring the cave.

Memory Game

1. Add a comment on my blog. Leave one memory that you have had with Sandi. It doesn't matter if you knew her a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about us, we'll assume you're playing the game and we'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

We got grass!

I am so excited to finally get some landscaping done in our yard. I have missed our old yard so much, it was so beautiful. Anyways, I know that Doug will make this yard just as beautiful. I was so thankful for all the people that helped.
I am thankful for a strong son that will help because it makes it a lot easier on me! Thanks Jake.
Don't you think that this green is a lot prettier than the brown dirt! Now I am looking forward to plants and flowers, I love landscaping, it really makes me love going outside.

Time flies!

Tonight is the dance for the 9th graders at the Junior High School. It's so hard to believe that my baby is going to be in high school next year.
This is Jed driving to the dance, he looks so handsome and grown up, where does the time go! I love you Jed, have a great time.
Dev bought Jaxon a front facing car seat today because he is one is a few days and weighs 21 pounds, he thought that he was pretty cool sitting like such a big boy. It really is hard to believe that we have had this little guy in our lives for a year already. I love him so much, he brings so much JOY into my life.

You Are Megara!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Charming and witty. You are always the first person to come up with a wisecrack. Sure, you have an attitude, but that's why people love you. You keep them on their toes. Sometimes you can be misleading, but always end up doing the right thing for the people you love.

This past weekend we took a quick jaunt down south. My nephew got sealed in the Manti Temple, wow, can I just say that the temple is BEAUTIFUL. I was so glad I finally had the opportunity to go there. Then afterwards we went to Moab for a little ATVing. We had a blast. This is us in front of the rock that they filmed the first scene where Tom Cruise is rock climbing in Mission Impossible. The rock is beautiful. We climbed some pretty steep sand stone to get our blood pumping.

You really can't tell from the picture but it really is steep and really fun. While we were so close we decided to take a tour of Arches National Park. I LOVE the red sand stone and so this was really beautiful also. We took a few of the short hikes because we were short on time. But it was still really fun. Next time I would love to take the long hike to the Delicate Arch.

Jaxon had a lot of fun exploring the holes in the sand stone in Moab. He is just so much fun to have with us on our trips.

Mommy daughter time

Cort and I went to a young women's activity last night to listen to Miss Utah, Jill Stevens. Wow, she really was incredible. She shared experiences that she had as a medic in the Army National Guard in Afganistan and her strong conviction to keep her standards high throughout her life. She also shared how she competed in Miss SSU and won and then onto Miss Utah and the Miss America pageant. She shared her testimony of the gospel and how she shares it with others wherever she goes. It was a great evening and re-inforced how special we are as daughters of our Heavenly Father and that he loves us all.
