Sweet Abby, Art Project and Zoo Lights...

This is such a sweet picture of Doug and Abby. As you can see Doug just loves his new granddaughter.

So Devyn and Shannon had so much fun making making art projects of their kids hands and feet. And I thought they turned out so cute. Well, yesterday when I was napping, Cortney and Jed ran into the room with a surprise for me. I love it. It made me smile from ear to ear. What do you think of it Shannon? Can you guess which one is Jed's.

Friday night we went to Zoo Lights at Hogle Zoo. They had over a million lights made into animals. I love how the lights go all crazy with the camera in the night. It's cool.

This is Devyn and Cortney while we are waiting for the boys who are looking at the snakes! This is what you see when you look through the fun glasses that we bought. All the lights look like snowmen.

This is Cortney and Jed with their cool glasses on. They love snowmen!

This is the Zoofart Express? I guess that is what gets it going in the cold weather? We had a great time and love being together~!

PBR Finals in Vegas!

Last week we headed down south to go to the PBR finals in Vegas and on the way we stayed in St. George for a few days to see some of the attractions there before heading onto Vegas. This was the sunset as we drove into town, it was beautiful!

We went with our good friends the Reefs and had such a great time.

One day we went to Snow Canyon and enjoyed the beautiful red rocks and I happened upon a bee who was excited to have his picture taken.

This day we went to Zion Canyon, which never disappoints! The fall colors were very pretty.

One day we had the opportunity to go the St. George Temple. It was of course beautiful, and it was nice to be in such a peaceful place.

Next, we headed onto Vegas for the PBR finals. We went to round 5 and 6 and headed home Sunday. This is our third year going and we love it. I couldn't take my camera into the finals so I stole some highlights off of PBR.com. We had a blast and already have tickets for next year. The following video was worth $25,000.00 for his 8 seconds, not too bad.

"Wrapped in Support" needs your help!

I wanted to give a shout out to any of you who are willing to help. Please go to wrappedinsupport.blogspot.com. They have a goal of making 400 blankets for each of the soldier of 3-1 Aviation returning home after serving 15 months in the War Zone. They only have 213 that have been received up to date. They only have nine days left and if you could help and just make one blanket it would help so much. All of the information is on her blog and the directions are all the way at the bottom. This is just one way that we can thank the men and women who have done so much to serve our country.

Titan Homecoming...

Yesterday was homecoming for Syracuse High, Cortney of course being on the drill team got to be in the parade and this is their float. Cortney is standing in front with her friend Darian. They are so cute!
Cortney and Darian were a little scared to climb on the fire truck at first so they opted to ride in the ambulance to the start of the parade! They are so funny.
This is a pose of them at the beginning of their dance at the pep assemble, Cort is the blonde in the white shirt towards the left. I love to watch Cortney dance, she is such a beautiful dancer.
This is the flag ceremony before the football game, Cort holds the state flag at every game, she did this last year and this year.

This was Jed's first time to play in the band at a game, it was GREAT to have the band there, they help with the home team making a lot of noise and they also played the entire game. Thanks Jed and band for keeping the game so up beat!
This is a picture of the drill team doing their kick line routine, let me just tell you that it was awesome. I didn't get a video, I wish I would of. They nailed everything.
And of course the end of the game, Syracuse won which is awesome, last year being a new school they didn't win one game, this year they have won all but one. The announcer said that no one would be allowed on the field, the kids were so excited that the police finally said, oh go ahead! It was a fun day with Cortney and Jed.

Cookies...

Anyone who has ever tasted Doug's chocolate chip cookies knows how wonderful they are. For over ten years he has been making them every Sunday. I know that it is Devyn's favorite day because she gets to have COOKIES! She almost refuses to go home until she gets some hot cookies and milk. Doug used to let our kids sit on the counter and help him, now they are kind of big and so now the tradition is being passed on to our cute grandson. Does life ever get any better than just being together and making such sweet memories?

My little ones...

Jaxon is getting so big and loves to do everything he can. I showed him my chair that gives massages and he thinks it is so fun to sit there and get him back rubbed. He is so much fun. I just love him to death!

I just love my new granddaughter, Abby, she is so sweet and such a good baby. I feel so blessed to have a new little one in my life.
I just want to kiss her and snuggle with her all day long, isn't that what grandma's are for?

No boundaries...

Jaxon thinks that he is so cool now because he can open doors! He is growing up so fast and learning to do things that we are just not ready for.
He knows that he needs someone to be with him when he goes outside so he gives you the look - (I know I am not suppose to but...)
... off into the world he goes...

So I thought that Jaxon would just love to play in the little swimming pool, so we blew it up and filled it with water. This is as close as he wanted to get, I don't know if it was to cold or what but he had a great time with his shovel throwing water at him and me.
He just looks so stinkin cute in his swimming suit. We had a good time. But what he really kept wanting to do was ride Jed's bike, he LOVES the ATV's, I think he would sit on them all day if you would let him.

Something new...

I learned how to crochet around a baby blanket! I know that a lot of you already know how to do all of this crafty fun stuff, but I did not. I had so much fun making a couple of blankets for my new granddaughter that will be here soon. I thought they turned out so cute, they look like a blanket with a little boa around them, I think it will be great to tickle her with. But I loved learning so I could be more like a grandma! haha!

Fun weekend...

Doug, Jed and I went to the Sand Dunes in St Anthony this past weekend. We had a blast, this picture is of Jed and me at Elgin lake which is in the middle of the sand dunes. You can kinda see the sand dunes in the back ground, this is where they start to get huge.
This is a picture of Doug riding up Choke Cherry, it is a super steep hill which I do not go down or up.
This picture is from the top of Choke Cherry just to get a little idea of how high up we are. Sharon, I should of called you and Kent to come and join us and get the dust off of your toys!
While we were there we went to the Civil Defense Cave which is a lava tube, it is pitch black and freezing inside.
This is Jed and Preston in the cave, it is so dark that you can't see your hand in front of your face. We had fun exploring the cave.

Memory Game

1. Add a comment on my blog. Leave one memory that you have had with Sandi. It doesn't matter if you knew her a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about us, we'll assume you're playing the game and we'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

We got grass!

I am so excited to finally get some landscaping done in our yard. I have missed our old yard so much, it was so beautiful. Anyways, I know that Doug will make this yard just as beautiful. I was so thankful for all the people that helped.
I am thankful for a strong son that will help because it makes it a lot easier on me! Thanks Jake.
Don't you think that this green is a lot prettier than the brown dirt! Now I am looking forward to plants and flowers, I love landscaping, it really makes me love going outside.

Time flies!

Tonight is the dance for the 9th graders at the Junior High School. It's so hard to believe that my baby is going to be in high school next year.
This is Jed driving to the dance, he looks so handsome and grown up, where does the time go! I love you Jed, have a great time.
Dev bought Jaxon a front facing car seat today because he is one is a few days and weighs 21 pounds, he thought that he was pretty cool sitting like such a big boy. It really is hard to believe that we have had this little guy in our lives for a year already. I love him so much, he brings so much JOY into my life.

You Are Megara!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Charming and witty. You are always the first person to come up with a wisecrack. Sure, you have an attitude, but that's why people love you. You keep them on their toes. Sometimes you can be misleading, but always end up doing the right thing for the people you love.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

This past weekend we took a quick jaunt down south. My nephew got sealed in the Manti Temple, wow, can I just say that the temple is BEAUTIFUL. I was so glad I finally had the opportunity to go there. Then afterwards we went to Moab for a little ATVing. We had a blast. This is us in front of the rock that they filmed the first scene where Tom Cruise is rock climbing in Mission Impossible. The rock is beautiful. We climbed some pretty steep sand stone to get our blood pumping.

You really can't tell from the picture but it really is steep and really fun. While we were so close we decided to take a tour of Arches National Park. I LOVE the red sand stone and so this was really beautiful also. We took a few of the short hikes because we were short on time. But it was still really fun. Next time I would love to take the long hike to the Delicate Arch.

Jaxon had a lot of fun exploring the holes in the sand stone in Moab. He is just so much fun to have with us on our trips.
